Description: well I use most ingrediants from save a lot
grocers as they are good store to buy from lol and there name says it all.
This is a mexican lasgna recipe, that well i dont know if theres an
actual recipe for it, I made this without a recipe lol. It is a
pretty simple recipe (in my opinon).
Ingredients:
1, 8oz can of tomato sauce
2 beef boullion cubes
couple bags of cheese of your choice I use mexican blends
1 lb ground beef or turkey your choice
1.5 tsp chili powder + 1 tsp chili powder
1.5 tsp cummin + 1 tsp cummin
1 tsp garlic powder + 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 or 2 cans refried beans
1 can tomatoes w/green chili's
1 large can sliced black olives
1 med onion sliced and chopped
half green pepper (optional)
hot peppers
sour cream
Pinch salt n pepper
now for between layers its your choice I have done this several ways I have used them thick style burrito shells (cut to size pan), I have used tastata shells (hehe spelling), and deep fried soft thin flour tortillas and actual lasgna noodles I prefer the lasgna noodles the best, then the deep fried soft thin flour tortillas!
Directions:
ok fry up your meat and add 1.5 tsp chili powder, 1.5 tsp cummin, 1 tsp garlic powder season with pinch of salt and pepper also. drain grease ( this is where I add black olives, tomatoes, hot peppers, w/green chilis, chopped onion but you can do them as layers if you like) and set aside. set oven to 375 at this point. mix tomato sauce, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cummin and 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 2 bullion cubes let simmer till bullion is disolved. set aside and get out your can of beans and your noodles I start by spreading beans on the noodles at least 2 layers at a time hehe :) start by putting a thin layer of sauce in bottom of a 13/9 pan then some of the meat, cheese then a noodle then sauce, meat, cheese, noodle w/beans and repeat till all is gone.
Of coarse make sure top layer is cheese!!!
Bake:
375 degrees
25-40 minutes
watch it after 25 minutes so the cheese is cooked to color you like!
